History

PICO International Petroleum (PIP), as a part of PICO Group, is a successful independent opera- tor in the Egyptian oil and gas sector. Since its inception 1989, PICO has grown to become the largest private Egyptian Exploration Production (E&P) player and the largest independent producer inEgypt’s Gulf of Suez Region. PICO focuses on the development of mature oil and gas fields with upstream potential. To date,PICO has successfully assumed the operator-ship of concessions; four off-shores in the Gulf ofSuez (GoS). Furthermore, PICO also holds non-operating equity shares in one more offshore concession in the GoS and another equity shares in one field in the WD. Today, PICO leads the category of ‘’Mid-sized independents’’ in terms of reserves on a 2P basis.
